We need heart to pump blood. It’s the most vital organ of our body and without it no one will be able to survive. Similarly, battery is the heart of any mobile phone. Whether it is an iPhone or a Samsung, a Motorola or LG, without battery no mobile will be able to work. Forget working it won’t even turn on. So, battery is important but more than that the battery life is important. With a bad battery life, your professional and personal life can be disturbed when you have to charge your phone continuously and then again the battery drains out and your phone switches off. Important contracts can be lost or you could even have a fight with the love of your life, just because of this. And trust us, you don’t want to put your money in iPhone repairing often. Therefore we need ways to increase the battery life of the most important gadget of our lives.

Mobile Phone Battery

It doesn’t matter for how long you iPhone’s battery lasts, but getting a longer battery life is always a boon. Earlier the phone’s were just used to make calls but today you use your iPhone for almost everything. Right from reading emails, taking photos, streaming videos, browsing and even paying by Apple Pay. A dead battery can bring a abrupt stop to your life and therefore it is important to conserve the power that can keep your life going good. And here are some ways by which you can see that your iPhone battery lasts long and you won’t need iPhone repairing soon.

Use the low power mode: This feature is something that we all are aware about but fail to use it. In iOS 9, Apple introduced a way to get an extra three hours of battery life. The catch here is that the Low Power Mode doesn’t actually work until you reach as low as to 20% battery life. Once the charge reaches a critically low level, a warning appears, along with the option to enable Low Power Mode. Once Low Power Mode is enabled, the power indicator goes from the ominous red to orange indicating a little life. The reason that Low Power Mode works so effectively is that it shuts down unnecessary background apps. This can be automatically enabled by going: Settings > Battery > Turn on Low Power Mode.

The battery draining apps:

We love our apps no matter how batter draining they are and therefore you need to manage them correctly. In both iOs 8 and iOS 9, you can get a better handle on battery life by simply finding out which apps consume the most energy. To do this, you need to go to: Settings > General > Battery to view a list of apps that you’ve been using in the last day or last week. The apps listed at the very top are the ones that are causing the most battery drain. Expect Safari to be near the top of the list, but many other apps like Facebook are power hogs, too. Now here there are two ways, first one naturally will be where you can reduce the use of apps which help reduce drain or the second smarter way is to manage the damage done by these apps. The path for this is Go: Settings > General > Background App Refresh. You can then turn off background refreshing for the biggest battery-draining apps.

Annoying additional Notifications:

Yes, you read it right. You need to reduce the unnecessary notifications. Yes, agreed to the fact that some lock screen notifications are essential but not all are that important. The more notifications you get, the faster your battery is draining. Navigate to your notifications menu from the settings page. Once there, you can go down your list of apps to disable notifications from the ones that you really don’t need to see immediately. This can actually improve battery life on a greater extent.
